Steve L. Perez, born on September 17, 1967, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.
Steve was a devoted husband, loving father, faithful servant of God, and cherished friend to many. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to serving others and sharing his faith through music and ministry. One of Steve's greatest passions was serving as the Worship Pastor at New Life Church, where he faithfully led worship and ministered to countless individuals for approximately seventeen years. Through his leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to Christ, he touched the lives of many and leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, encouragement, and service.
Steve found great joy in spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his generous spirit, warm heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. His love for worship, family, and community will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Melinda Perez; his daughters, Lauren Perez (Brenden Silverleaf) and Sarah Perez; Father Lupe M. Perez, Brothers Rene Perez and Jason Perez (Rachel Perez). Survived by 3 nephews Josh Perez, Jason Jr. (JJ) Perez and Jonah Perez
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Yolanda Perez.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday, July 30, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Jesse Berthold and Pastor Salvador Rincon officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Jason Perez, JJ Perez, Jonah Perez, Kenny Clem, Rene Perez and Brenden Silverleaf.
