Charley "Chale" Rendon Obituary

Charley "Chale" Delgado Rendon, 78, gained his angel wings on Friday, March 29, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 4, 1945, in Beeville, Texas to Ismael and Herminia (Delgado) Rendon. He married his loving wife, of 57 years, Adelaida (Ida) Medina Rendon.

Charley’s life would seem short to many, but those who were blessed to have known him, knew the existence and imprint he left on our hearts exceeded the quality of life he lived.

Charley was a talented hardworking man. He came from a long line of men who were known for their expertise in the concrete business. Charley learned all that he knew from his father and uncles. He was a maker, a builder, a creator, a fabricator, and an innovator.

Family and friends will tell you, “Charley never met a stranger”. He was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and total strangers.  Arguably his greatest masterpieces were his children. His family was his world.

Charley is survived by his wife, Adelaida Medina Rendon; his four children, Stacey (Rogelio) Rendon-Del Bosque Jr. of San Antonio, Tx, Tammy (GR) Trevino and Nancy Cuellar both of Beeville and Christopher (Rebecca) Rendon of Victoria, Tx; siblings Antonio (Tony) Rendon of Beeville, Infa (Charley) Wilson, Ismael (Millie) Rendon Jr., Lilly Rendon, and Sandy (GG) Rendon all of Houston Tx. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Charley was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Domingo & Rosa Baldillez Medina; a granddaughter, Meredith Kendall Beltran and one son-in-law Alfred Mora Cuellar.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 am, on Saturday, April 6, at New Life Church, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Jesse Berthold officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Rendon, Garron Trevino, Christian Rendon, Abram Cuellar, Adrian Gonzales, and Andrew Vancil. Honorary pallbearers are Rogelio Del Bosque Jr., GR Trevino, Josiah Gonzales, Greysyn Trevino, Stetson Vancil, and all his nieces and nephews.
